The Akademie des Deutschen Buchhandels (Academy of German Book Trade)
The Academy was founded in 1993 and has developed within a few years into a recognized forum for the media world in Germany. More than 2000 people visit its courses, conferences and symposia every year which focus on issues of topical interest for the publishing world.
The Academy offers further education courses on the following main topics: editorial office, management, marketing, production, distribution, media legislation. Special courses for people of learned journals, corporate publishers and lawyers specialized on media complete the programme.
The Academy of German Book Trade is among the leading media academies in Germany. Partners of this non-profit organization are amongst others: the Bertelsmann Foundation as well as major media and publishing groups such as Holtzbrinck, Klett, Cornelsen, Langenscheidt, Springer-Verlag, Weka and Beltz.
